Stella is a Fellow of the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development).

She has fifteen years management experience in the Metropolitan Police Service, including heading the Senior Management Development Programme and being the first civilian Personnel and Training Manager in the Service.

During her career as a trainer she has worked in a broad range of sectors including recruitment, construction, airline, housing and catering industries and the public and not for profit sector.

In 2001 she joined forces with Tracy Powley to form Focal Point Training and specialises in Management Development, team building and personal development. She has taught on Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) Programmes including Masters Programmes, and facilitates, coaches, counsels and mentors.

She is licensed to use the Myers-Briggs Type Indicators and Expanded Analysis Indicators, Nfer Nelson British Psychological Society Level A Instruments. She also has a Certificate in Counselling Skills and a Diploma in Neuro Linguistic Programming.
