JOANNA SARGENT

Joanna is a confident and energetic Recruitment Sales Training Consultant.

Having graduated with an honours degree in Psychology in 1989 Joanna joined The Daily Telegraph, to work for the Classified Advertising Sales Team. She worked on a number of divisions before successfully launching a brand new advertising section called “The Emporium” which advertised mail order gifts all year round.

In 1992 she joined Executive Connections as a Recruitment Consultant, specialising in placing accountants and finance professionals into merchant banks and financial institutions both in the City and countrywide. She was promoted to Senior Consultant and went on to become one of the top revenue generators.

Joanna then went to work for QD Finance, a start up division of the well-established Quarry Dougal Legal recruitment consultancy. After 18 months she decided to pursue a career in training and took the opportunity to move to Computer Futures, to work as an “in-house” trainer within the Group Training & Development department. Here Joanna was fully involved with all aspects of training including responsibility for training a four day induction course covering the entire recruitment process.

Since leaving Computer Futures in 1999, Joanna has been working as a freelance training consultant specialising in training new and experienced recruitment consultants. She has written and developed bespoke training courses to cover the core skills required in recruitment.
