HEATHER
MCINTOSH -
BA Hons, Cert .Ed, MIPD
Heather is a Learning and Development consultant specialising
in Management development, organisational change and communication.
She has considerable experience in business as a manager,
a Training Consultant and a Further Education Lecturer.
In addition Heather holds qualifications in learning and
development at postgraduate level, is an NVQ assessor and
verifier, and a graduate member of the Chartered Institute
of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
Throughout her career she has worked with a number of major
UK and multi national companies in both the private and public
sector and has first hand experience of managing, giving
depth and credibility to her consultancy skills.
She has worked on a range of training and development interventions
including analysing training needs and designing, delivering
and evaluating development activities.
She joined the Telecommunications industry in 1975 working
in customer service and training and in 1989 moved into lecturing
in Management and Business communication in Further and Higher
Education in the UK.
In 1995 she decided to focus on developing
and expanding her role as a business consultant and has carried
out training and development projects both as an independent
consultant and in association with other organisations.
Heather also spent two years in South Africa to put her
experiences to practice by starting a change management Consultancy
offering a range of learning and development activities.
Projects included management consultancy for BOE Merchant
Bank on a communication change and IT project, reviewing
the customer service strategy of a major retail Bank, the
design of a customer service programme for a leading travel
agency and a range of management development and business
skills programmes for one of South Africa's leading recruitment
consultancies.
Heather returned to the UK in 2000 and continued her consultancy
activities with clients in the NHS and local government.
Current activities focus on organisational development and
influencing cultural change, particularly in the area of
leadership development and performance management, and cover
a range of interventions from one-to-one coaching to group
facilitation. |
