Last month has seen the conclusion of some very successful projects and the launch of a range of new ones.
Fusion People - Having worked with Fusion last year to design and deliver a management development programme for their experienced managers, we are delighted to have launched a new programme last month for their new and aspiring managers. They have completed their first module and we have just started getting feedback on their progress in advance of the next module. They are already reaping the benefits of implementing specific actions from the session with their teams and we are looking forward to building on this next month.
Southbank Centre - The Southbank centre is in the process of migrating from Microsoft to Google which represents an extensive change project for the organisation. One of their excellent initiatives to support this change has been to identify a group of “Google guides” to act as champions and coaches for each team. We have worked with them in May to equip the guides to take on their roles with confidence by developing their coaching and “consulting” skills. We also facilitated them identifying how to support each other and how to be proactive in the way they support and encourage others to work differently. It has been a great example from the SBC of supporting organisational change.
City Surveyors - Over the last 4 months we have worked with the City of London Surveyors department on a project to develop their team working. We worked closely initially with the Chief Officer and senior management team to ensure changes were being led from the top and gave all 240 people in the department an opportunity to attend a workshop to help them think about the behaviours that create good team working and their own responsibilities within that. The project has been very well received and there are demonstrable changes in behaviour and communication across each team. The project has been chosen as a case study within the City of London to illustrate one of the organisation’s core values leading by example. Well done to the senior management team for driving the project and implementing the actions identified in our sessions! Great team work!

I joined Stella and Tracy at Focal Point in 2003 and have seen both the Company and my role evolve during this time. I now work closely with the management team to achieve and improve business efficiently. To re-energise myself after a day in the office, I like to go to Zumba classes in the evening!
