We were delighted to work with the forward-thinking HR manager and lead partner on the diversity committee to launch a programme exploring Unconscious Bias and the impact it can have in the workplace. Our diversity expert Catherine ran 2 punchy, highly interactive sessions, which prompted some insightful actions and we are looking forward to returning in September to run further workshops for partners and heads of departments.
Achilles creates and manages a global network of industry communities providing high quality, structured, real-time data. The senior Management Team, guided by the L and D and HR manager wanted to ensure their teams were all communicating and collaborating with each other in the most effective ways. We designed a workshop to consider respectful and inclusive working practices, for a mix of people across a range of functions and linked firmly to the Achilles values. A follow-up session helped line managers identify how to take the many positive actions from the workshops forward and embed the changes.
Last month saw a piece of research suggesting recruitment has the worst bosses - a criticism that won’t be levelled at Sphere Solutions (specialist recruiters in the construction sector) as they invest in their senior leadership team to ensure that they are in the best shape to take their growth plans forward.
Our facilitator Rick led a fun, interactive session for the events team away day at the Southbank Centre. Based on MBTI profiles he devised a number of participative exercises to help people understand more about their own style and approach and their interaction with others around them. It was very well received and people are still talking about it several weeks down the line!
