We have been working on some really exciting projects with a range of clients in the last few months. Have a look at who we have been working with....
We are delighted to be working in partnership with the South Bank Centre to support and develop their assistant visitor services managers and roll out a tailored Diversity and Inclusion programme for the whole workforce. The HR team at the SBC are very switched on and proactive when it comes to supporting their people and they also understand the importance of follow up with any training, so they have been a joy to work with so far!
After running a taster session at Greenwich borough council’s Race Equality Network back in October we are delighted to be running 2 more training sessions for potential mentors and mentees within the borough as part of the unique MyMentor scheme – a cross borough mentoring scheme for local authorities. The scheme now has 18 participating organisations and we are pleased to be supporting the programme with workshops to help both mentors and mentees get the most from a mentoring relationship. Stella and Tracy thoroughly enjoyed running a taster session for CIPD members just before Christmas, focusing on how to manage inappropriate behaviour at work around the festive period. We had a great group who were very willing to share their own experiences in his area, which underlined for us yet again what a grey area inappropriate behaviour can be and how hard managers find this area to deal with; where does “a bit of banter” become unacceptable, for example? Line managers need support to help them tackle such issues and ensure they don’t escalate to complaints and grievances. We are looking forward to taking this workshop to other branches.
Our trainer Mairi has been busy up in bonny Scotland running an ILM endorsed management programme for a number of deputy and home managers for Scotland’s largest independent care home group. The team are about to embark on their assignments which is a key part of the development programme and an opportunity to show how they are applying their learning. Good luck to everyone on the programme!
I joined Stella and Tracy at Focal Point in 2003 and have seen both the Company and my role evolve during this time. I now work closely with the management team to achieve and improve business efficiently. To re-energise myself after a day in the office, I like to go to Zumba classes in the evening!
